Joseph M. Traiser, Vice President
Mr. Traiser joined Hales & Company Inc. in 1986. Previously, he served as Vice President of Operations with an independent insurance agency (1984-1986) and spent eight years (1976-1984) with Fred S. James & Co., then a publicly-traded broker. Prior to Fred S. James, he spent three years (1973-1976) in the Audit Division with Arthur Andersen & Co. Mr. Traiser focuses on providing business valuation services to privately-held insurance brokers and agencies nationwide for ownership perpetuation planning and estate planning purposes and also advises Employee Stock Ownership Plans on structuring on valuation matters. He has conducted approximately 1,000 valuations over the past 25 years and has served as an expert witness on a number of valuation cases.
Mr. Traiser received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota in 1967. He is a Certified Public Accountant and registered with State of Illinois, and has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 1976.
